Welcome back students!!!!  I hope everybody had a great summer and is ready for another school year because I sure know that I am.

To kick off the year for the kindergarten and grade 1/2 class we will go over the rules and expectations as well as play some tag games.  After the first week we will move into spatial awareness activities so the students learn their body, range of motion, and the space they cover as they play.  For the next week and a half the students will be learning different types of movement skills.  These skills include jogging, running, walking, jumping, hopping, skipping, galloping etc.

The grade 2/3 and 3/4 class will start the year similar to the younger students with an overview of the rules and expectations as well as some low organized games.  After the first week the students will enter into the soccer unit.  During this unit the students will learn how to pass, trap, throw, kick, and some of the rules.  After the soccer unit the students will enter the football unit.  During this unit the students will learn to throw and catch, and kick a football.  The skills will be reinforced by a games.

Finally the 4/5, 5/6, and 7/8 classes will start the new year off with some low organized games.  After the first week the students will begin a soccer unit.  The students will learn how to pass, trap, throw, kick, and play soccer.  The next unit the students are participating in is football.  Throwing, catching, and kicking are some of the skills they will learn in the unit. 

*REMINDER TO PARENTS THAT ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE PROPER RUNNING SHOES FOR CLASS OR THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE*
